M-CON Enterprises Inc. is run by our founder Nate Muth, a red seal carpenter by trade. We work across Powell River, the qathet region and the surrounding islands, and take on remote and rollout projects throughout British Columbia.
What we charge

How we bill
How a project is billed depends on the project. Wherever possible we prefer to give firm pricing, so your budget is respected and you know the number before we start.
We aren't the kind of contractors who give unrealistically low pricing to secure a job and then pile on extras once your project is half complete.
On hourly and materials contracts we invoice every week, so you can keep track of costs as the work runs rather than finding out at the end.
A deposit is taken at the start of your project and applied to your final weekly invoice. Anything left over is refunded to you promptly.
We prefer payment by e-transfer, cheque or bank draft. Credit cards are also accepted through our online invoicing system.
A word about getting quotes
On one job, the homeowners told us upfront what other contractors had quoted. We knew the square footage, ran our own square-foot price, and it came to roughly $20,000 less than the next lowest bid. That's what we quoted, and that's what we charged.
We appreciate a candid conversation — but when you're getting prices from contractors, keep the other numbers to yourself. It would have been easy for someone less scrupulous to quote just under the next bid and pocket the difference.
Once you have a price, though, speak up. If it's outside your budget, ask what can be done within it. We're happy to reduce scope or find savings so you can still get your project done.
